On the 25th of January 2008, we had our first ever Charity Day. We joined in with the RNLI SOS Day and had raffles, competitions, puzzles, sweepstakes and more - and we raised £450 :)
Next year we were back with all the old favourites and also had a fabulous framed, signed, limited edition print (thanks to Michael Macgregor Photography) called 'Dark Glencoe' which was available to one lucky winner via a silent auction. Plus on the day, if you bought a cup of tea or coffee, £1 from every cup went to the RNLI... TOTAL - £705
Next again - 29th January 2010 and we raised a total of £1242 !!
This year it was the 28th January 2011 and we raised £803.21
While this was down on last year, it was always going to be a hard target to beat, as we were lucky enough to receive a £500 donantion from Lochaber Watersports in 2010. Also under the current economic conditions, to beat last years 'on the day' amount was a significant achievement.
A huge thanks to all our suppliers who donated raffle prizes, including Michael MacGregor (once again) for another great silent auction picture, and Michelle MacPhee for providing the great free entertainment in the afternoon. And not forgetting a big thanks to all our customers who supported us on the day.
OUR RUNNING TOTAL FOR THE RNLI NOW STANDS AT £3200
